Firstly I'd like to say what an amazing first 6 months the GROUND:FAULT:INTERRUPT project has had. At times I have to stop and remind myself that the first releases were sent out in January, it feels a lot more established than that. The fact that people in over 100 countries and territories around the world have listened to the tracks is both humbling and inspiring at the same time. The project continues to be such an amazing learning experience for me on all levels, from music production all the way through to marketing, social media and more. I didn't realise how empowering the feeling of creating something from my imagination and releasing it to the world would be! There is a lot to discuss, which I'll elaborate on in future posts.
I came across a twitter post from Detroit techno legend, Kevin Saunderson in which he states:
"I was attracted to the way I could unite people through playing music on the dance floor".
Reflecting on how many diverse nations and cultures have streamed the GROUND:FAULT:INTERRUPT works, really highlights to me music being a unifying force. I want to develop a community, a dance floor, where everybody is welcome and included.
Till next time,
"One world, one dance floor"
