GFI-002

GFI-002 is the second EP released by GROUND:FAULT:INTERRUPT in 2024. The concept for this EP came from developing a series of tracks using only hardware, mostly analogue that I had ready access to in my studio. The only exception to this was one synth, the NINA and 808, which I hired at the MESS studio in North Melbourne. The tracks will feature perhaps one stock sample at most.

This project produced a very analogue, hypnotic, raw series of tracks featuring gritty layered textures which is becoming my signature sound. You can hear elements of Psy and EBM coming through in the tracks whilst still maintaining a very minimal techno feel.

I found that as the tracks evolved they were invoking thoughts and feelings of space, the planets and alien contact. This is very abstract, I know, but I encourage you to close your eyes and experience whichever direction they music takes you.

I hope you enjoy listening and dancing to these tracks as much as I enjoyed making them.
